1. Liability Waivers
Bird Nest Pilates (or “the Studio” or “I”) believes adherence to the most stringent safety precautions reasonably possible is the best practice to prevent infection from Covid-19. As part of these practices, the Studio will require all clients (or “you”) to sign a document agreeing to not attend class when feeling ill and acknowledging the risks regarding Covid-19 and other infectious diseases.
2. Privates/Semi Privates & Classes
Bird Nest Pilates will re-open solely for Privates and Semi-Privates. There is ample time between sessions for at risk populations.
Following an initial period during which Studio practices are evaluated and judged to be safe, group classes will be offered. Classes will be limited to a maximum of 3 clients so that clients can be spaced appropriately.
3. Common Areas and Start Times
To maintain social distancing and prevent commingling in common areas, the following measures have been adopted by the Studio:
4. Personal Protective Equipment and Other Clothing
I will be wearing a face mask/shield that covers the nose and mouth when interacting with you. I will utilize frequent hand washing and sanitization, which are the most consistent and effective methods to prevent microorganism spread. I will use self screening for infection.
Come prepared for the following:
5. Hand-Washing and Sanitizing
Clients are required to wash hands before entering the Studio, after using the restroom, coughing, sneezing, after having touched their face, a common area equipment (ie: door handle, wall, etc) and at the conclusion of every session. Clients may use hand sanitizer when appropriate inside the Studio.
6. Symptoms
Be prepared to be screened when you arrive for your session but please complete a self screening before coming to the Studio. This includes assessing how you feel and if you have any of the symptoms common in COVID-19 (a temperature, Non-allergy related runny nose, frequent cough, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell, headache, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea). If you find you have any symptoms, please wait 14 symptom free days before returning to the Studio. Please do not attend class if you are ill or contagious for the welfare of others.
7. Cleaning and Sanitizing
I am following the CDC guidelines to clean equipment first with soap and water and then using a disinfectant spray that is specifically approved by the EPA to kill the novel Coronavirus.
All Reformer straps have been laundered and covered with vinyl for easier cleaning. Upon request, I can order new straps for your personal use. If you wish to do this, please discuss this option with me.
The Studio has been cleaned prior to opening and will be cleaned on a regular schedule.

The Studio maintains its 24 hour cancellation policy. However, the late cancel fee will be waived if you call prior to your session and advise that you feel sick or have been alerted that you were exposed to Covid-19 and/ or need to self-quarantine In such cases, you can take your session online or reschedule for an in Studio session at a later date.
